I met a Meetup group in Wallace for a hike today to Upper and Lower Steven’s Lakes. The weather was good and the scenery was spectacular – from rocky outcroppings to forested paths.

We reached Lower Lake after a steady uphill climb.

The route to Upper Lake involved a bit of trail blazing but was well worth the extra effort.

I missed the snake on the trail but captured some butterflies and a few new and some familiar flowers.
