Today’s Frontrunner walk was through Riverfront Park to take advantage of the shade.

The park was created for Expo ‘74 and many of the park’s landmarks are from the fair.

The Great Northern Clock Tower was preserved when the railroad terminal, built 1902, was demolished to make way for the park.

The Post Street Electric Substation (aka Washington Water Power Building) was built in 1910.

The Childhood Express (aka The Red Flyer slide) was dedicated in 1990 for the Centennial Celebration of Children.
